The Boater's Garden: Part Three.

There is a shiny new acquisition in the garden. Jeffrey, from 'The Entertainer', has kindly donated a compost bin to the organic vegetable growing cause. I cannot lie about my reaction to discovering the bin. I danced like a toddler in a large sweet shop and cried out for "more".

There is a noticeable change in the season this week. I’ve had to move the aubergines and avocado plant into the mini greenhouse tent in case they decide that the less tropical climes of Oxfordshire be too much for them.

I’ve also been busy in the kitchen:

Mmmm, pickles and chutneys.

Beautiful Valonia, all of it looks good enough to eat (sorry that just came out). Any chance of you putting your recipe for chutney on your blog?

Your veggy garden looks great. And in your kitchen do I spy a LARGE jar of Marmite?:)
Can't get those huge jars in Oz, only teeny tiny ones, as you can imagine they don't last lonf in this house!

Hhb - I never leave home without a jar of Marmite. Just to spread the Marmite love...

How do you cope with only little jars? I'd have to have a whole cupbard full of the little things!

I troll down the hill to the shopping centre and buy tiny jars there or when visitors come from the Uk and ask if they can bring anything, guess what they have to get me?
